Ladakh 2006: 18days, 3865kms, one rider, one passion

Had a fantastic ride, 18days 3865kms of solo riding over some of the roughest terrain known to mankind. This was the route that I took:

Day2: Manali – Keylong – Darcha – Sarchu

Day3: Sarchu – Pang – Upshi – Leh

Day4: Leh – Thiksey – Leh

Day5: Leh – Karu – Chang La – Tangste – Lukung – Spangmik – Lukung (Pangong Tso)

Day6: Lukung – Tangste – Chang La – Karu – Leh

Day7: Leh – Upshi – Chumathang – Tso Moriri – Korzok

Day8: Korzok – Tso Moriri – Korzok

Day9: Korzok – Chumathang – Upshi – Leh

Day10: Leh – Lamayuru – Kargil

Day11: Kargil – Sanko – Parakachik – Rangdum (Suru Valley)

Day12: Rangdum – Penzi La – Padum (Zanskar Valley)

Day13: Padum (Zanskar Valley)

Day14: Padum – Penzi La – Rangdum

Day15: Rangdum – Sanko – Kargil – Drass

Day16: Drass – Zoji La – Sonamarg – Srinagar

Day17: Srinagar – Jammu – Pathankot

Day18: Pathankot – Phagwada – Ropar – Chandigarh – Ambala – Delhi

Clocking 3865kms over some of the roughest terrain in the world and still my bike did what she does best, powered her way through each and every thing. She gave quite a good overall mileage of 42 kms per liter of petrol and the best mileage that I got was an amazing 48.36kilometers to a liter!!! Not at all bad for a four and half year old Bajaj Pulsar 180 Classic, which has clocked roughly 50k kms over the years!

Here are some photos of the ride, detail trip log will come soon...
